What chanio is

chanio is beta software that captures your AI conversations into a private, local knowledge graph and compiles briefs from it. It is provided as-is, without warranty. It will have bugs. Local-first design means your data is safe from us — but you are responsible for backing up your own disk.

Your data stays yours

You own your vault, your channels, and everything chanio compiles for you. Nothing in these terms grants us a license to your captured context — we can't see it. See the privacy policy for the full picture.

Purchases

The free tier is free forever and stays beta software under the terms above. Paying doesn't change what the software is; it changes what you get, and the refund terms below are the remedy if it isn't right for you. Stripe processes every payment and refund. We never see your card number.

Own — $149, once. Buying Own grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the chanio software forever, with a year of updates from the date of purchase. It is not open source and it is not a transfer of the code: the software stays ours, the license and your vault stay yours.

Pro — $9.99 a month. Pro bills monthly through Stripe. Cancel any time from the link in your receipt email; the subscription runs to the end of the paid month and nothing further is charged.

Referral refunds. Each friend who joins with your link and activates chanio (completes setup) refunds $15 to the payment method you bought with, up to the full $149. Refunds never exceed what you paid, buying never obligates you to invite anyone, and the free tier stays free regardless.

Refunds. Thirty days, no questions asked, on Own. Pro is refunded pro-rata for unused full months. Refunds go back through Stripe to the original payment method.

Sensible limits

chanio organizes context; it does not give medical, legal, or financial advice, and briefs can be wrong or incomplete. Don't use it to violate the terms of the AI providers it sits alongside, and don't use it to capture other people's conversations without their knowledge. We may update the product and these terms as the beta evolves; material changes will be reflected on this page.
