Tools · Before you paste
Before you paste into an AI, see what would go.
Paste the text. It blanks keys, card numbers and contact details, leaves out what looks private, and shows exactly what is left to copy.
Your rules (kept on this device)
Keys, passwords and card numbers are always blanked.
Runs on this page. Nothing you paste is sent or kept.
Questions people ask
What does it take out?
Always: API keys and tokens, passwords, card numbers (13 to 19 digits that pass the Luhn check digit of ISO/IEC 7812-1), social security numbers and labelled codes such as a routing number or a door code. By your rules: email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, links that carry a token, and whole passages that still look private, such as a date of birth or a medicine.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. It runs in this page. Nothing you paste is sent to chanio.com or anyone else, and nothing is kept. Only your five switches are remembered, on this device.
Can it miss something?
Yes. It matches patterns, not meaning: a name, or a private detail written in an unusual way, can get through. Read the result once before you paste it.
Is it the same check chanio uses on a Mac?
It uses the same rules as the notebook's Copy for my AI. On a Mac, chanio applies its own filter to anything that leaves the machine.
