Tools · Check before you send
Kind, and true. Not softened, not pushed.
Paste a message you are about to send to a person. It shows what bends the truth to keep them comfortable, what steers instead of asks, and which figures to check. It never rewrites a word.
Questions people ask
Does it rewrite my message?
No. It shows the phrases and why they were flagged. The words are yours, and you decide what to change.
Is my message sent anywhere?
No. The check runs in this page, in your browser. Nothing is sent to chanio.com or anyone else, and nothing is kept.
What does it look for?
Softening: apologising for asking, "just", handing the other person a way out, agreement as a cushion, praise that names nothing. Pressure: urgency without a date, guilt, "never" and "always", threats, "everyone". And sentences with figures, dates or "we agreed", so you can check them before you send.
Why not check my figures here too?
Because that needs your own notes, and those belong on your device. chanio on a Mac does it with the model on your Mac: it shows the line in your notes the figure came from, or a different figure nearby, and never decides for you.
