Where will your AI live?
Your memory, on your machine. Keep notes, or save what you copy (a chat, an article). A small AI on your own machine answers from them and shows the lines it used. Nothing leaves your computer unless you press Send or add your own key.
Not now — see it in your browser first, no download →
Open Terminal (press ⌘ Space, type Terminal, press Return). Paste this line and press Return:
curl -fsSL https://chanio.com/install.sh | shIt tells you before each download and never asks for your password. The small AI itself is about 2 GB (about 6 GB on a Mac with 16 GB of memory or more, where a larger one answers better), so the first time takes a few minutes. When it finishes, chanio opens in your browser by itself, on a page only your own Mac can reach. If you use Claude Code, Codex or Gemini, it asks once whether they should start each session with your memory, so you stop re-explaining. Then it asks where your memory should live: on this Mac only, or on this Mac and your phone through the iCloud you already use. chanio never keeps a copy on a server of its own, and health notes, keys and pasted chats stay on the Mac either way. To open chanio again later, type chanio door.
Already work with Claude Code or Codex? Ask it to run this line for you instead; it connects them in the same step:
curl -fsSL https://chanio.com/install.sh | sh -s -- --connectNothing to buy. Overnight, the starter gathers the day’s hard questions. Add your own Claude key and it sends them in one go, under a daily limit you set; or it packs them up for you to paste into any AI you already use.
