Is the free tier really free forever?
Yes. The Lab, AI-chat capture, connecting your Obsidian vault, and exporting everything are all free — because they run on your key and your disk. We'll never flip a switch and start charging for what's currently free.
What does "bring your own key" mean?
The Lab calls Claude directly from your browser using your own Anthropic API key — so you pay Anthropic cents per run, and chanio servers never see the key or the conversation. Set a $5 cap and that's your whole exposure.
What is the hosted overnight loop (Pro)?
Free, you run the overnight compile yourself with chanio-core. Pro runs it for you: agents synthesize your day's AI chats while you sleep and deliver a morning brief — no terminal, no key management, synced across devices.
Where does my data go?
It stays on your machine — your prompts compile to your Obsidian vault on your own disk. Nothing is sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train models. The Lab call goes straight to Anthropic; everything else is local-first.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your account settings. You'll keep Pro access until the end of your billing period.
Do you have a team or enterprise plan?
